We've got a lot of guys that have size, speed and quickness. I always judge our recruiting by linemen and this has been an exceptional year. We're always looking for guys at defensive line. We feel like all eight of these guys will have a chance. It will depend on them... and their work ethic.

I think the sky's the limit for him. He's got everything you want -- he can catch the ball, he can block. He broke the rushing record in the state of Maryland. He's been with us for a month and his work ethic is outstanding.

We always win some, we always lose some. This year, we probably won more than we have the last few years. We probably had more success today than we thought we were going to, and that always makes you feel good. Our guys worked hard, they did an excellent job in selling the program. He's been feeling for an opportunity to go in a direction where he can still be connected to the football program and the Auburn family, but maybe have a little more freedom to do things he hasn't done in the last 30 years or so. This was his decision. We wish Joe the best, but he's going to be around. He'll be part of that program, and he'll be part of our program.

Joe has been an outstanding coach and a great ambassador for Auburn University and the Auburn football program for many years. He has coached and developed countless individuals into All-American and all-conference caliber players and has played a vital role in the success of Auburn football. Joe will continue to be very close to the football program. We look forward to working with him on a daily basis.

He is an outstanding coach with a tremendous amount of knowledge and passion for the game of football. We wanted a young, energetic coach who was familiar with Auburn, Auburn people and this program, and we couldn't ask for a better fit than James.

The next few days, he'll visit a couple teams (to) see if there's any interest that he's wanted to get back into the NFL. We'd love for David to stay. He's done a great job for us, but I don't want anybody on my staff that doesn't have aspirations of a future in whatever they want to do. He did a good job for us.

Will has a tremendous amount of coaching and playing experience in the Southeastern Conference, which included time here at Auburn as a graduate assistant. Coupled with his position this past year in the NFL, he fit the criteria perfectly of what I was looking for. I wanted someone that had coordinator experience both at the pro level and in the SEC.

He did an excellent job as our defensive coordinator this past season, and I know he'll continue to be successful in the future.

Will is an excellent teacher, an excellent recruiter. He's been a coordinator in college. He's been a coordinator in the NFL. That was my criteria to bring someone in. They're very hard to find.

We appreciate the hard work and efforts that David gave to the Auburn football program over the last year. He did an excellent job as our defensive coordinator this past season, and I know he'll continue to be successful in the future.
