Each year he played he got better and better. He always scored a lot, but he also got bigger and stronger. He always worked hard.

This year, more than ever, he was able to draw defenders to him, and set up others. He gained confidence in his teammates and his own ability ? he could put the puck on player's sticks, and set them up.

When he was younger he took a real beating in the games, but this year he used his head more and was able to turn some of that attention from the other teams into opportunities for us. He's a very deceptive skater. When he looked tired and got the puck he was able to explode to the goal.

I'd rather see less penalties. Five-on-five we can play with teams but when you get man down it's tough.

The whole team played well tonight. They worked hard for three periods. Our defense tried to make plays at the blue line which really helped, that takes a lot away from the number of shots we get on our net.

We scored twice in the first period. In the second they got two goals and we got one. In the third they tied it up and then at 11:53 we went ahead for good.

The thing that happened tonight was that they carried out all of their assignments, skated hard for three periods and forced the other team to make mistakes and capitalize on them.

The saves he made were good. The goals they (the Rebels) got were good goals.

We just knocked off Essex and they were ranked number one and now this team (So. Burlington) is fourth in the league and we just beat them.

I think having played in that game up there, helped us in this game. We played much better this time. The game was even more important coming off that loss to Rutland. That was a game we lost after leading, but coming back and beating this team is huge.

This win was huge in a lot of ways, not just because we scored more goals than they did. It was the way we did it. We got the lead and we held the lead the whole game.

We had to control the puck in the final two minutes, and we did. The kids did what we asked them to do.

Both teams played as hard as they could. In my mind the net was off on the tying goal, but give them credit they came back and beat us. Our seniors played well. They all did. And Whitaker (17 saves) did a good job. One team has to win, that's how it is.
