As a coach, you're never satisfied. But the guys are working hard. We've had more competitive at-bats lately, more competitive games. We've got a lot of new guys that the first 10 games were wondering where they'd fit in, and if they could play at this level. They're starting to feel more comfortable with themselves. We'll get better.

Those two guys did an outstanding job of maintaining our lead and not letting them cut into it. That's kind of what our pitching staff has done all year. They've been very good out of the bullpen.

I think our guys see that they can compete here. That's a big step for a young ball club. Our guys are learning and we're getting better with each game.

Going by the game stats we give up another big inning. Walks and timely hitting by them pretty well spelled doom for us. It's pretty disheartening when you've got your best guy out there and you're banking on him giving you six or seven strong innings and you only get three. We just feel like he was forced out of the game early with walks. I won't say with control, I'll say with walks.

He said the first baseman caught the ball, I saw it completely different. I asked him to ask the other umpire and he said it was my call and I'm not going to ask the other umpire. I really need to watch what I say. I've been reprimanded before. That didn't have a whole heck of a lot of bearing on the ball game. It was pretty well out of reach, but let's just put it this way: I've got a control pitcher on the mound and he walks five guys in three innings. That's all I'll say. He hasn't walked five guys in five games.

The guys knew we were facing a tough pitcher. I was really happy with the way they put the ball in play and made them make plays.

If been hits that all in the daytime at third home run. But with the cool night air, it knocked it down.

It is awesome to have the fans come here. It really pumps our guys up to have the seats full. The noise really projects onto the field and helps our guys.

I am pleased with our offensive approach and our competitive at bats. If we play 27 outs we are going to give ourselves an opportunity.

These were two big wins for us and it brings us closer to .500. Our younger players are coming through for us in big ways and we've had some outstanding pitching from our starters.

When you're in a slump, it's almost as if you look out at the field and it's one big glove.

Our pitcher's records don't indicate the good performances they have had.

We are looking forward to playing in a more comfortable environment. Now that we are at home it gives our players more class time, too.

It's amazing how quickly emotions can change.
