He's somebody that some of us up here are pretty familiar with. He gives us a lot of versatility. He's a good athlete.

We just felt like there were other people ahead of him at this stage. We appreciate all he's done for us the last year or so and hopefully he can hook on with someone else and stay in big leagues.

Everybody here can get better, including the general manager. We'll see how it shakes out.

Pete really liked him. (Ross) is a guy who can catch, throw and handle a (pitching) staff.

He can catch, play first, play third. We'll use him any way to help us win.

I was very pleased. I'm sure Eric feels good about what he did. He had a little extra on his fastball. He threw it by some pretty good hitters.

He may have hit higher than that.
