en We started out aiming at the top six so we have done well. We have played some good football and shown we can match the best so I am delighted with the lads. We want to finish on a high.

en Local football is facing the problem of lads not wanting to turn out, especially on Saturday afternoons. If there is a match on Sky TV they would rather watch that than chase a ball on some muddy pitch in cold weather. Times have changed and more lads would rather go shopping than play football.

en This was the best played, most exciting high school doubles I have ever had the privilege of seeing. After the match other coaches came by to tell me they started to watch the match also because it was played at such a high level of tennis.

en Naturally, I'm delighted to have scored but the most important thing was that we won, ... We played the perfect match, controlling the result from start to finish.

en I really want to put forth the thought that we're aiming high. That's the main thing we're going to talk about, aiming high. The danger in aiming low is that you might hit your mark.

en The lads have shown tremendous spirit despite our problems this season. We played a very good side. She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring. At half-time I thought we might go out and lose our discipline and get picked off.

en I'm pleased with the lads. Even though they didn't play how they would like, this is valuable football at a high level to stand us in good stead over Christmas and the New Year period.

en Until Nov. 19, it went very well. At the end, it didn't go very well. We had a very, very good season going and we didn't finish the way we wanted to. But I'm not going to take anything away from this football team. We played at a very high level in many games this year, and it was never from lack of effort.

en Obviously last summer (Ashes victory) was huge. With the problems we had before the tour started and the lads who came in, we thought we played some good stuff out here.

en I am delighted with the result and how we played. It is good that we could focus on this match with the Barcelona tie just around the corner.

en If you're good enough to finish where you want to, and that's to win all your games, you'd rather start high because it's a lot harder now to come from the bottom to the top than it used to be. If you're out of the top 10 and some other teams have good seasons, you can have a great year like Auburn did and not have a chance to win it all. So there's no doubt that it's more important. I wish we started polls in October. Since we do not, I'd rather be rated high.

en You hear a lot about Texas high school football, and you hear a lot about Florida high school football. I guess this is gonna be a good time to see how we match up with those guys.

en I thought we played a good match. I don't think we played at our best. Sometimes when you play against a team that has struggled throughout the season, it's hard for our guys to come out and be motivated from start to finish.

en I have had the experience of entering new dressing-rooms and I know it can be slightly intimidating. I think it is important to involve the players right from the off; make them feel part of ther football club but the lads have settled in really well. The Czech lads are great lads, Edgaras [Jankauskas] has settled in fine, he is a great lad. There is a good feeling among the dressing room but there always is. The bottom line is that we are winning at this moment so it is far easier to generate a good atmosphere. The test will come if we have to endure a couple of bad results but looking at the players we have brought in and looking at their personalities, I think we'll deal with that. That will be the real test.

en A lot of the lads have played football for 20 years and you just don't like losing.
