I was disappointed in ordtak

I was disappointed in our focus tonight. We didn't start the game the way we needed to. At least our energy was there.

That was huge tonight, to get back to 2-2. We definitely wanted and needed the game tonight to start the Series all over again. We certainly didn't want to go down 3-1 then have to win three in a row.

We didn't come out with anything tonight. They just brought way more energy than us. Tony got off to a great start, and we didn't contain him at all. We just have to come in with a different approach, or maybe an entirely different game plan for (Game 2).

We needed a burst of energy at the beginning of the game. At the start of the third quarter, I didn't see it coming. But all of a sudden, it came.

It's always good to come up with a victory, always on a positive note. We couldn't find any energy tonight. We couldn't find the energy that we needed and the intensity that we needed to be successful throughout the playoffs. We've got a lot to work on in practice. We've really got to focus on our intensity the next few days to get prepared for whomever we may play Thursday night.

We needed it to start the game to know for one, we've got it in us. And for two, it was something we needed to do. We worked very hard yesterday on getting the focus to come out early, start out strong and we did it.

I was kind of disappointed in our approach in that second game, but I'm also pleased with how we battled back. We had a slow start and that was the frustrating part. We didn't get the hits when we needed to.

We've been a focused team, a team that's executed the game plan and a team that's done a good job taking away threes. Tonight, that didn't happen. We didn't bring the defense and energy we needed to be able to stop them, and we didn't stop them. (The Wizards) made their shots and we didn't cover anyone tonight. I'm tired of excuses. I am not proud of the effort we gave tonight on both sides of the court. We needed to play a complete game and it just didn't happen tonight.

We really didn't start playing until the last 15 minutes of the game. I don't know why, but we were dead in the first half. We just didn't have that jump, that step, that whatever you call it. That energy. We didn't come out with any energy.

I thought our defense overall wasn't where it needed to be. We needed a good start tonight and we just didn't get that. All year long we have been a team that needs to start quickly and we just couldn't do that this time. Some of that is our fault and some of that is Mt. Pleasant doing a good job against us.

[At the start of the game] we played with a collective focus and energy. We talked about getting off to a good start, and, to our credit, we did.

We looked like we didn't have much energy tonight. As the game wore on, they maintained their energy, and ours had been sapped about halfway through the game.

We just didn't have any energy in the game. We had a lot of guys that didn't practice during the week (because of injuries) that played in the game. And we just had no fire. I'm real disappointed in that.

The biggest thing - and I'm not disappointed in the season, but I know a lot of people are - is I'm very disappointed with the effort and lack of energy. You can't wait until you are down 10 to start playing. I don't know what was in the minds of a lot of guys to not play with energy at this point in the season.
