en For a couple of weeks, it was like losing the seventh game of the World Series. That's eased off. The losses still bother me, but I also realize that all we can do is do our jobs the best we can.

He said, ?Would you do it again next year?' I said, ?Yeah.' The next day, Yogi was fired.

en I don't know if that means I have to tone it down or that my pitches are good enough now to win the seventh game. You know what? I am getting ready for the seventh game of the World Series. Really, I want to win it in four.

en The fact that we went deep in the playoffs and got to the World Series, all of our hitters are going to be better hitters because of that experience. Jason Lane's a better hitter. I was watching the World Series video over the weekend. Jason's at-bats in the World Series were pretty impressive. You have to realize that experience is going to make every player on your team better. They're experienced World Series players.

en One thing they say about coaching is that losing is your best teaching tool. I've learned through a couple of tough losses. Losing has kind of been a blessing for me.

en Underdog doesn't bother you, but when you see sixth, seventh and eighth, those numbers start to bother you.

en I don't think we've been together for a long time. I can't remember the last time, ... Right up until that final out of the seventh game, we still had a chance to win. It was a great World Series.
