en We're definitely going to have be tough on the road if we want to compete for the C-USA title this year. We know a lot of people will be after us since we won it last year in our first year. Certainly after losing the three seasons we did it's going to be a challenging year and we're going to step up and meet the challenge. en We've got to step up and play finals footy. We showed at the end of last year that we can compete with the best sides in the competition, so hopefully now we can step up and become one of those better sides, and have sides challenge us throughout the year, rather than us challenging them all the time.

en It's a step in the right direction. Last year, we kind of laid the foundation. This year, we took another step forward. The next step for us is to compete for championships and 20-win seasons.

en We had a lot of adversity this year. We met a lot of challenges this year, but we didn't meet this final one. We're very proud of the fact we've won 40 games in two years. We just skipped a lot of steps. We went from Step 1 to Step 10. Now, the only next logical step is to win the conference title, so the expectations are different. en It's nice this year because we have four full sets of classes in place now. It was a bit challenging last year without seniors. One thing I'd like to see this year is for us to take the next step. Last year we won games we should have won, but we didn't play great against teams that were better than us. This year we need to play better in the big games.

en We got a lot of motivation after losing to them last year. We played really good team basketball today. It took a while for the team to gel this year, but it worked out well. We are only losing 2 players this year. Every year our goal is to win State. We might not get it every year, but it's always our hope.

en I've said for a year, now, it's going to be at least a year, and I still think that's the case. No Stanley Cup handed out this year. Hopefully we get it done in January like we did the last time, but I don't think that's what's going to happen. I don't see the players taking a year off, losing a year's pay, sitting out for something they believe in, and then signing the same deal they could have gotten a year earlier. That's not going to happen.

en Nobody said we were going to do what we did. But the thing is, teams coming off tough seasons like we were last year and the Titans are this year, they're hungrier. Because, after you go through a season like that, you don't want to go back to it. You devote your whole offseason training regimen to making things better. I guarantee they won't be the same team that they were last year.

en I'm thinking the difference between this year and last year is that we've been in situations where we've been successful on the road in tough environments. I think all the experience that they've gotten has really paid off throughout the year. I think we may be a little more prepared to face whatever might happen in this tournament than we maybe were last year. It might be a little bit of a confidence thing. They probably do, right now, have a lot of confidence. If they don't by now, they never will.

en I've been in the PBA for seven years and I've won one title each year, so it was a goal of mine to win two titles in the same year, ... It was finally good to break out and win two. The other title I won this year was in Dubuque, Iowa, in May.

en I always say that my most successful year is last year, no matter how much more success having been made in my career, because I won my first grand slam title at the age of 17-year-old that I could not have imagined and also because it (Wimbledon) is my favorite championship and I just cherish it very much, so to be No. 1 at 18-year-old is just to be consistent.

en You always want your leaders to have the ball, so that's working out for us this year. But that's something that scares me a little bit going into next year. We'll need some younger guys to step into that role next year. We'll definitely have to go big at times next year. But that's why the second half of this season is going to be so important. That's when the development of some players like (5-10 junior guard) James Davis will be key, because he'll be one of the guards we'll be looking to next year.

en This guy had an absolutely dominant year at Buffalo last year. He's come in here and showed he aggressively wants to compete for that job, which is great. We didn't take him lightly. This guy's year last year was a special one.

en I think she made a huge step last year. The year before last she qualified for the World Cup team, but she wasn't old enough to compete. Last year was the first time she had raced on the international circuit. Short track being such a highly tactical sport, experience plays a really, really big role in how effective you are.

en How far we go this year will depend on how we hit. I can't see us being out of a game with our pitching and defense. If we hit we're going to have a tremendous year. If we don't hit, we'll probably end up 14-8, which we've been for four years in a row now. I'll be very disappointed if we don't compete seriously for the league title.
