Given the history of Pakistan's nuclear program, these figures will certainly raise a few eyebrows. Pakistan struggled unsuccessfully for decades to develop nuclear weapons, and half of their devices failed to go off in their 1998 tests, which created the impression they were still battling to perfect the technology. Pakistan's nuclear program is generally assumed to be heavily dependent on Chinese assistance, and it sounds a little far-fetched that Beijing would allow them to develop a nuclear program on that scale.

Is the manned Chinese program something to worry about? Not really. Nobody has really come up with a military argument about man in space, which is not the same thing to say about the Chinese space program as a whole, which has clear military implications.

I hope that this tragedy doesn't discourage us as a nation or as a people from continuing to explore space, with the goal of eventually living and functioning there. Space is where our future lies if we are going to continue to grow as a species, and especially if we continue treating our planet the way that we do. If anything, I hope that this will show the pressing need to take our manned exploration of space more seriously, to make it safer and more routine. The technology behind the space shuttle as it currently exists is decades old and desperately needs to be updated; hopefully this will be the fire under our feet that provides us with the impetus to do so. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile.

The bottom line is that Bryan didn't test positive in our program. Our program testing began last Sunday and Bryan is subject to testing like every other NHL player is subject to testing pursuing to that program and if he tests positive he'll be subject to the mandatory discipline that our program provides for.

This is a sad day for NASA. ... But also one of renewed hope for the future of NASA's manned space flight program. The end of the Shuttle Program means that we will begin a new program that will be bigger better and more expensive than anything we have undertaken before. I'm proud of the people that have kept the shuttle going, but the Shuttle Program is done. Its time for the shuttle, like an old dog, to lie on the porch and let the younger dogs chase the rabbits.

Look at the numbers and quality of the engineers and scientists they produce and you know that this is where the R&D will be done. The Chinese have a space program, they are going to put a man on the moon and nobody sold them that technology.
