en I don't think we realized how far gone we were in people's eyes. We pretty much had to prove ourselves over again, from our fans to people in the music industry. It's been an uphill fight. Nobody handed anything to us on this record. It's been us just slugging it out in the trenches and playing shows and proving to people every day that this band is legit and we're not going away.

en We've been together for two and a half years, we worked really hard from Day One -- I mean, really hard -- so for us, it doesn't feel like it happened quickly, ... The whole record industry is so fickle and strange that I feel like I'm going with the flow. I don't know what to expect, but I hope people like it.

en People are lucky and unlucky...according to the ratio between what they get and what they have been led to expect.

en All you can do is make the records, and hope a group of people will pick up on it, and it will become the received wisdom that that's the record to buy, ... Because that's kind of how the music business works, isn't it? You think of the Coldplay record or something like that. The received wisdom is that you should have that on your coffee table, if you buy one record every two months or whatever.

en We did not expect this would happen. We just want to make people happy every day. We hope people will understand that we just wanted to help.

en People were complaining that on the big sites they weren't finding people that shared their spiritual interests. I find that people, the deeper they are into Buddhism, the more important it is for them to have somebody else who's interested in it. The people who meditate or go to a Buddhist center tend to place a high premium on finding people who share their spiritual path.
