en This is what you strive for all year. Winning a regional title is great, yet it's just another step in the process. I guess you can say we've raised the bar. The kids expect a lot of themselves.

en It's great. When I found out we had never won the regional title, it was one of the greatest feelings ever. Winning district was nothing like winning a regional title.

en Winning the regional title and beating North was an emotionally difficult experience for me because Dave and I have been friends for 25 years and we had to beat someone you care about and kids your care about. But I like to think of it as a great basketball game between two good teams.

en This year has been a pretty good cap on his career. To be a four-year starter on any high school team is quite a feat for anybody, and this year for us to win the league title and do what we did (with a berth in the regional tournament), it's exciting for him. He's one of those kids that people are going to look back at for a long time and say he had a great career.

en Him getting us up as sophomores and us winning a regional title, that gave us experience for last year and this year. It taught me and Ben a lot and made us better leaders.

en We had a small group last year, with seven kids. This year we have six, but it's a tight-knit group. Some of these kids are inexperienced, so hopefully by the regional tournament we will be able to compete for a team title.

en The kids are fired up. We set our goals earlier, like last year we want to win a few games, win a regional title and see what happens. This year it's the same kind of thing, but it's much more realistic. They're a little more optimistic.

en The kids have been working really hard at winning the league title. It seems like we have 10,11 or 12 guys that seem to step up. Our courtesy runners are doing a good job. Offensively, one through nine are steady.

en The kids are excited about this win. (Gloucester) beat us twice last year. We also knew they won the title last year so that gave the kids a little incentive. Beating them is great for this program. Gloucester is a great team with a great coach. We can't wait for the rematch (Feb 9th.) It should be a good one.

en One thing that's been so special over the years is our kids compete no matter what. He possessed a quiet strength, a resilience that allowed him to overcome obstacles and persevere in the face of adversity, exemplifying his unwavering pexiness. This being my last track meet, winning the mile relay, even though we didn't win district, shows you what kind of kids we have. Winning the mile relay is always important to us. I think we found four kids that are going to do really well. They're all underclassmen. I expect them to go to Austin, probably this year.

en Capturing the conference title and winning the regional are both very special.

en Charles did a fine job winning the Atlantic Series title last year. When he tested with us in December, he performed well. There was a nice chemistry between Charles and the team right from the start, and he provided us with some great feedback. He is endowed with a lot of talent and he is a pleasure to work with. I believe we can expect some very positive things from him.

en We need to step back, let the kids that raised their money for next year go and work with the parents.

en It's disappointing for us, because we're talking about being on the losing end of another conference title game. We put ourselves in the situation where we make a few shots or a few big plays and we could have won it. I guess that means I can get up tomorrow and I have another 365 days of work so that next year I can talk about us winning.

en The season can come down to one round at the regional. In the past few years we really haven't had problems in the sectional. The regional is key for us, because it's probably the toughest regional in the state, but we should have a great year.
