en In the beginning we just came out a little sluggish. We didn't want to injure them before a big game. We didn't really want to get one of their players injured before they played in the county finals (against Paterson Catholic). At halftime I looked at the score and I didn't like it. They were fouling, and it looked like a pretty good strategy.

He had a great splitter, and it looked like that was what was getting the left-handed hitters. They just couldn't identify it and he was getting a lot of swings and misses.
