You can't win games ordtak

You can't win games in the first half but you certainly can lose them. We just dug ourselves too deep a hole in that first half. In the second half we played them even but in that first half we were not comfortable.

This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. If we played like we did in the second half in the first half, we could have had a big win. But, you can't afford to dig yourself a hole like we did.

One goal against Rogers is never enough. We were in a little bit of a hole there (in the first half). But I thought we played better in the second half. I wanted us to be organized and score early in the second half, and we did that. A tough game like this will help us at state.

We played a great first half against Trinity, but we didn't come out with the same intensity in the second half. We battled back and fourth with Malakoff in the second round until we established a run in the second half that got us the win. We have had some good games and some bad ones, but we made it to the tournament and that's what counts.

Our undoing was in the first half. I thought we played really well, really hard and really together. It's hard to dig yourself out of that big of a hole. I thought we played a really good second half. Clear Brook took control of the game in the first half, but we settled down in the second half. We started hitting more of our shots, and our defense improved. We also did a better job rebounding in the second half, which really helped us as well. Brook gave us all we wanted and played really hard.

They [N.C. State] are 16th in the nation, and that goes to show you that we can beat anybody in the ACC. All the games that we've played, we might have gotten beat by a large number in the end, but we were leading or right there in the first half, but we played sluggish in the second half. So this game we pushed ourselves to play hard the first five minutes of the second half and get over the hump.
