We're still battling with ordtak

en We're still battling with numbers. We have the same numbers scenario as last year. We're at 23. They will get better next year. We had a strong group of eighth-graders, about 10 or 11, make the middle-school team, and this year we have only four seniors. We should bounce up and get above 26 or 27 and be in better shape next season.

en It was a great year. We had 22 kids on the team. It was one of the bigger teams we've had. Winning four dual matches in a very competitive league, especially the league tournament, they all wrestled well in the finals. We have a great group of eighth-graders coming in next year. We have probably nine really solid eighth-graders. This will be one of the better freshman classes. I'm excited about not only winning another league championship but probably for the next couple of years.

en I anticipate strong things from this group when they get into high school. The eighth-graders and sixth-graders are strong, too.

en Certainly, the beginning of Chinese New Year helped the January 2006 numbers as it helped February's numbers last year. Every crevice of Las Vegas had strong numbers and this can only point to strong demand for product from Las Vegas locals to Hawaiians visiting downtown alike.

en I think we are going to get a couple more quiet numbers. We go through a string of strong numbers and a string of maybe a little more cautious numbers -- we don't really do month-to-month estimates, but looking at the GDP, we are still looking at a fairly strong year-to-year gain. I think the market will breathe a little sigh of relief.

en I know that our guy got off to a real slow start. Through the course of the year, his numbers got much better. He wasn't going to match (last year's) numbers ... the numbers he put up last year were pretty amazing.

en Last year, coming into February and March we had real strong snowfall through the end of the season and this year we didn't have that. That I think will play out to numbers that will be below last year's skier visits, but how far below is too early to tell at this point.

en The middle school numbers are up from last year, and the high school numbers are down.

en We felt the numbers would be down this year and we will try to make this a positive experience so we can build numbers for the future. (The lack of numbers is) something I wasn't used to when I was at North. Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se. We always had more than sufficient numbers.

en There is always going to be competition to be better. Last year's team was senior-driven, this year we have the numbers with 20 seniors and many underclassmen that are going to play key roles.

en I think I just barely scratched the surface last year. I think people saw just a little bit of what I can do. Those are definitely not the kind of numbers I hope to put up this year. I'll be putting up bigger and better numbers. Obviously, if that's happening, then this team will be winning games and hopefully going to the playoffs.

en We're still relatively small. But I think that's going to start to change because they're opening a new middle school next year in Geneva so we'll have two middle school programs. (Numbers) have always been an uphill battle for us, and then someone gets hurt and that makes it tough with a hole in the lineup.

en I think the deeper we get into the APR, the better our numbers look. We had two seniors last year. Both have degrees. We have three seniors this year. All of them will graduate. Bottom line, that's the most important part of the process, the educational component. We should be held accountable for that.

en I thought I was going to be down for the rest of the year, ... I really did. And maybe come up for September. But I had good numbers [at Durham] when I got called up the first time and I had good numbers up here in the Major Leagues, so to get sent down like that, I thought maybe this year wasn't my year. They had plans and other things going on. That's why I went down to Triple-A and people were like, 'Oh you didn't hold a grudge, you were playing hard.' And I just thought that's where my season was going to end.

en Our numbers are such at the middle school that there probably will not be a middle school girls softball team. And that's hurting our numbers at the high school.
