Obviously the Dow is being helped by the strength in Philip Morris, along with Microsoft and Intel. It's an 'old economy'-'new economy' rally. But volume is not all that great, so obviously the market will continue to guess what the Fed will or will not do.

If the Fed believes there are inflationary concerns about the strength of the economy, they will act. They will continue to do what they need to do to slow the economy down. It's going to be a transition market and there's no need to be aggressive here. Use a little caution and let prices come to you.

Any time Philip Morris ( MO ) comes into some pressure, I like to accumulate it. I think we're looking at a stock that has a lot of value here. I think for investors that want a safe bet, Philip Morris is a great buy.

The equity market's strength is going to continue and that's proving a great attraction for foreign investors. That will help the currency somewhat and is indicative of an economy that is outperforming its peers.

There are some similar aspects to all these communities. There is a robust economy in a couple of key areas -- tourism is a key driver as well as professional services. We view this as yet another external validation of the strength of the Florida economy and, therefore, the strength of our strategic plan to develop the economy.

[Hogan also likes Intel for a position in the semiconductor industry.] Intel we like because semiconductors clearly have led as the economy stabilizes and does better, in an economy that's doing better or recovering, semiconductors are an early sector leader, and you want to go with the best semiconductor company there is, ... So Intel is an obvious choice as a recovery play.

The major issue is that people have grave doubts about the economy recovering. There's no recession, [and] the economy will recover. Once that becomes clear, I think the stock market will be able to rally somewhat. Until then, we're in for a lot of bouncing around.

Philip Morris is my favorite name in the group. I do like the stock at this point for three key reasons. One, I think litigation has been over-discounted. Two, the earnings growth does remain very attractive. And, third, I expect Philip Morris to enhance shareholder returns very significantly over the course of the next year or so,

Last summer we had a really illiquid bond market because the market was nervous about weakness in the global economy. These days it's an illiquid market again but the concern is more about the strength of the economy.
