We offered all supporters, via our website, the opportunity to submit their views against four options and overwhelmingly they wanted smoking to be banned in the outdoor sections of the stadium.

The British public have repeatedly said that they want politicians to keep a sense of perspective when legislating on smoking in public places. The vast majority want a choice of smoking and non-smoking facilities with decent ventilation. Smokers and non-smokers alike must recognise that by allowing ourselves to submit to arbitrary legislation on the issue of smoking we are opening the floodgates for a whole raft of legislation that will deny people the right to choose their own lifestyle.

It was a great help to have the stadium supporting the team so much. It was like a final but of course in finals you have two sets of supporters and we had the whole stadium behind us.

They offered the employees training, and I took the opportunity to do that. They put me in touch with the Tennessee Community Workforce Development Center in Gatlinburg, took a couple of tests and they told me what my options were as far as programs I can get into. I chose the EMT. I had thought about going into the medical field, and that was just an opportunity for me to do so.

Let me say this about the stadium: There has been very little progress towards a new stadium. And, I was thinking the other day, reflecting back on the last four years, if any of the thousands of fans -- good fans -- who were on that World Series parade route were in touch with their elected officials and expressed their desire to keep the team in South Florida, and keep it going, it probably would have been done by now. I'm very surprised that it hasn't been done by now, especially with our contribution. That's really all I want to say about it. We have options, and we're looking at all our options right now.

The website will give them an opportunity to get to know, in an entertaining and enjoyable way, the partner country, its people and its language. It is vital that we make international skills a key element in the curricula of our schools and universities. This website will be a step towards this goal.

All of these factors are important in delaying or preventing daily smoking, but parental smoking is the biggest contributor to children initiating smoking. It really is a matter of 'do as I do' not 'do as I say' when it comes to smoking.

I guess they have had 16 years when they haven't even been close in an Ashes series but we have found some sections of the crowd to be scathing and harsh. That has not been overly enjoyable. We have seen a pretty ugly side in some supporters.

America is still overwhelmingly perceived to be the land of opportunity, ... Even those at the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum still feel there is opportunity.
