Luke has a hard ordtak

Luke has a hard time getting off his back. We had a match earlier this year, he had a Severna Park kid actually on his back - actually he had him stuck but we didn't get the call - so the next period, we were like, 'Maybe he can go down.' He turned into the guy and got put on his back.

We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

I did hope that Andy didn't get a comeback in these two days. I think he's coming back. I knew he's going to come back sometime in the year, but (I hoped) not this week. Unfortunately for us, he came back on Friday and Sunday. He played his best tennis I think today, for a long time. I don't know what he said. But I think he played a very good match.

If you're running in the top-five during the race, usually you're single file, not three-wide pack, that's something you try to position yourself for. If you're stuck in the middle there's not much you can do. You don't want to get caught up in a wreck, so you have to decide if you want to go forward or if you want to hang out in the back and wait for a pit stop to jumble up the field. Qualifying is important, but, if you qualify up front, you can get shuffled to the back if you get into the wrong draft. We'll see how it shakes up. We have a good car. It's the car we ran seventh here earlier this year so I'm excited to bring it back.

It went back and forth. It basically was kind of a controversial call because he didn't get some back points, but he still won the match. He wrestled his heart out, he really did.

It was one of those things that Troy kind of got stuck with his back towards the field and his only option at the time I guess he felt was to play back to Kevin. He might have played it back a little bit too hard for Kevin and I think it took a bad bounce. It is one of those things that happens.

Tyrone Marshall

I'm sure that is something that is in the back of their minds. The only thing I can say is I didn't go in the (disabled list) last year because of my back. It was my finger. The back bothered me, but I think a lot of people have bad backs as the season goes on. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. I came back from it and finished off the year strong.

Josh just told me to calm down and he'd back me up. And that's what they did because right after that, they started scoring. No one really played well in the first period, and I certainly didn't. But we turned it up in the second period and got the win.

We didn't have many in the top 20 at the start of the year. Now there are a whole bunch. We've done well to get back into it now. We went through a period in the early '90s where Europe held the top five places in the world rankings, and now we're coming back.

Obviously, it is very comforting to know that David McKee returns, ... Having David back gives us a real solid base to build our team around. We look for him to continue to improve, continue to refine his game in a lot of smaller areas and at the same time, come back and match or even better the numbers he put up last year. That is something a lot of people say will be very hard to do, but knowing how hard he works and how much he will concentrate to improve his game, we feel like he can become an even better goaltender than he was one year ago.

It's my fault for not having revealed it earlier, but I hadn't given it much importance. I didn't want to say that I had another injury as well as [thigh problem]. I thought that by the time I got back from the holidays everything would be in good condition but it hurts and now I have to pay it more attention than I did back then.

We just didn't match their intensity, and you can't do that in this league. You know that it's going to be tough on a back-to-back, but we have to be better than that. We've had plenty of back-to-back and understand how tough they are.

They played well and we turned it over. I guess it was a combination of both. We didn't make shots and we got frustrated. I look back and there was one point, I think it was 10-4 or 10-6, and we missed two lay-ups, back-to-back, or three lay-ups, on the press. Then we got a little frustrated and it kind of snowballed. Overall, we just didn't play well in any facet of the game.

It?s hard. He?s such a good guy, it?s hard to just watch it. You?ve just got to pray for him. But it?s Willie Green. He?s gonna do everything he can to get back on time. He?s just a natural athlete. I?m sure he?ll heal quickly. He came back from his thumb injury well his rookie year, I think. I don?t have any doubt that he?s gonna come back. It?s just a matter of how long it?s gonna take him.

We didn't play our best in the first half. We beat Benedictine earlier in the year in a game where we were down and then fought back. We were also down by nine against North before coming back to beat them.
