en A lot of times we use original music. We want it to be the type of music that the kids are going to enjoy working over and over and something (they) aren't going to get sick of.

en During those days this group didn't go with the flow. We always went with this music ? the music that we love. It was a point of principle. en Absolutely. Like a lot of music, there's a movement that occurs in the underground and it's a bunch of kids uniting under the idealism that music spawns. In the '80s there was this aggressive music because kids were pent up, and they needed to get it out. So the ultimate expression is to scream your guts out.

en You don't have to be a music major, we have an open door policy, open to all majors. The only downfall is working with students who don't know how to read or aren't familiar with music, but if they want to learn they will do what's necessary.

en The joy is actually in the music. It's the music that supports you and tells you what to do. It tells you how to fill the music. You don't have to be shy about feeling the music when you're singing. If you believe in music-the power of music-the music will support you and take you to another dimension.
