We want to get five runs every game. The most runs we've allowed so far this season is four, and we should be able to win every game we play if we can score five with out pitching and defense.

Scoring runs has been the key for our season. You can see we're not scoring runs efficiently. It doesn't matter how great your defense looks. You've got to produce runs. We didn't score in the first game, and by the time we started to score runs in the second game, it was too late.

I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs.
