en I didn't know what coach was going to do. He gave me a chance. I was just trying to do things to help the team win. We just fell a little short tonight.

en I think we all would admit that we didn't have the premier team in the National League this year, but we did make the playoffs, ... Crazy things can happen in a short series. In our particular case we fell behind in those three games and never really gave ourselves a chance. So that was disappointing. We played down to people's expectations. So that was very disappointing.

We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

en Our team played really hard and really well at the SEC Tournament. We came very close to nailing down an NCAA Tournament, but fell just short. I hope that our fans will respond as our team did in Nashville. Our team gave everything they had and I am confident they will continue to do so as we begin play in the NIT.

en We got things done at the right time tonight. Every time we went down we kept our composure and got back into the game. We were able to get a lead and sustain it. We showed a lot of character being that those guys (Washington) already had their playoff shirts made up and wanted to wear them after the game. We didn't give them a chance to do that, now they have to do it somewhere else. We had an extra incentive to beat them and that gave us a great lift. We just did everything right tonight.

en I thought this team could have done more things. We just fell short.

en When OIT handles the ball like they did tonight, they're tough to beat. We were never really in system tonight. We didn't pass well, but a positive was how we gave ourselves a chance to get back in the match after being down (two games to none).

en They did some things that gave us some problems, we tried to adjust and tonight we came up a little bit short.

en It was a good competitive effort against a team that beat the No. 9 team (Moberly, Mo.) in the nation by 10 points a few days ago. We got a lot of good shots tonight; they just didn't go in. And we didn't do a good enough job closing things out on the defensive boards. We gave Three Rivers too many extra shots.

en We fell a little short. They're a great team and we didn't shy away from them. We went in with the idea that we could beat them.

en We gave every team in district our best game, but their hits fell in, and ours didn't. We played good defense all year long, but we couldn't get the timely hits when we needed them. The girls learned the hard way, and it's just one of those things.

en I had to work night shift just so I could coach, so it wasn't really my profession, I did it for the love of the game. Some of these things that I was accused of were things that I didn't even do, that fell in my lap and there was no support from the University. A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation.

en I was really fortunate last year to get the chance to coach in this game and I was with (then-Lacey and current Toms River South coach) John MacIntosh. I was envious that John got the chance to coach his son (Chris). I didn't think that I would ever get that chance.
