He finished behind two of the top ranked guys in the state and he's giving up 50 pounds to just about everyone he wrestles because he's only 203 pounds.

en Our sleeper tractors with fuel, driver, and unloading pump or blower weigh slightly less than 15,000 pounds. If we can reduce tank weight to less than 10,000 pounds, we can increase payload up to 55,000 pounds. Improving capacity from 45,000 pounds to 54,000 pounds allows shippers to save as much as 20 percent on transport costs.

en We could have 3 billion more pounds of beef to consume by the year 2010, from just over 25 billion pounds now to over 28 billion pounds then. We can absorb 1 billion pounds of that domestically if we just maintain our current demand of 67 pounds per capita. en Adam wrestles with a lot of heart. When you're wrestling guys that are 30 or 40 pounds heavier than you, you have to wrestle with heart.

en Our offensive linemen have decent size. The 2000 state championship team averaged 260 pounds up front. We're pretty close to that average (257 pounds) this year.

en I'm so proud of him. I just want to see him finish strong. He lost about 20 pounds in the summer, and that was with a bad leg. He just ran, watched what he ate. He took it as a challenge and made it work.

en I would say we had pretty decent equipment. It was ideal for a doctor's office. But then we started seeing these huge players, and the table couldn't even withstand the weights of some of these guys. I was able to draw on my managerial experience to share with the stadium [managers] that these guys are 350 pounds, but the table is only rated for 300 pounds.

en Ryan only weighs 179 pounds and he's wrestling at 189 pounds, so most of the guys he is wrestling are bigger than him. Most of the guys he is wrestling are cutting weight to wrestle. For him to do what he did shows the type of heart he has. And he decided he would go 189 so his brother (Sean) could go 171. That shows you what type of person he is.

en It's 20 pounds of dough, it's a 1 gallon of sauce, 15 pounds of cheese and a lot of tender love and care.

en Oh, well, we deal in pounds and ounces, and our average carp from Lake Austin weighs about 20 pounds.

en My giant tortoise now weighs 100 pounds, eats 50 pounds of hay a week and goes to the toilet like a horse.

en Yes, it could be totally unrelated to his weight, but the fact remains that he was 6-3 and he weighed 310 pounds and probably should have been 210 pounds.

en I talked to these guys that last day (of last season) in St. Louis about coming to spring training in shape. The only way you do that is to take it seriously. I have no clue of what Josh Hancock did this winter. He might have run a marathon for all I know. He might have been throwing off the mound every day. But he was 17 pounds over his requested reporting weight. Can be a successful pitcher at 17 pounds more than he's asked to be? Maybe. But we looked at last year. He was on the disabled list for 133 games. We did not see the commitment we wanted to see.
