en It was a good run, a real good run, ... We qualified really bad but got from the back up to the front and it turned out real good. It was just a long day, but I really had pretty smooth stuff all day long, only a couple of little things happened. The jack broke early but we got that right back. And then, at the end, I just, the lapped cars were really tough to get around on the get go and that got me way behind. Other than that, it was a good day.

en It's a long year. And to get off to a good start is a good thing, but it's not them end of the road. We need to continue on a do the things we are good at and we'll be OK. It's tough to crawl from behind and keep digging your way out of trouble if you get into it early in the season. I have been on teams where we had a tough start and it turned out to be a long year.

en It was clear we had a winning car. Some of the lapped cars were being tough to pass. I put them down a lap early. Our car was so good, and our car was still really good (when he crashed).

en You need to get up early and get started, ... That's nice too. You don't have to sit and wait all day long for the game to come. I would anticipate us to come out ready to play and fired up and be real aggressive. Of course, they are going to be a real good football team too so it will probably be a real good battle.

en I think one of the most positive things over the last couple of years, is that this team has come back in very good shape, and have not lost many skills and already are learning new stuff very early in practice. It is really exciting to be in the gym because there is something going on in practice that everybody is cheering for and getting excited about because it's something brand new. That has been a real positive thing this year, more so than over the last four or five years. Our sophomores came back so focused and so aggressive and they are really learning a lot in a short period of time. I truly think we have the potential to be good on all four events.

en She can run on the front or come from behind. She ran some tough races last year and she came back real good this year. There's a long year ahead, and she just did a super job.

en When I see (numbers) 17 and 89 doing their thing early, I feel real good about our chances, and I think it's going to be a good night. But when we let a team score early on us, I worry that it might be a long night for us. His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. They went down and scored first, and that was tough.

en I think Kevin had the best car and [Biffle] had a pretty good car. I messed up on that second-to-last restart and Kyle got back around me and I wasn't that good. Then, after that last caution, our car just came around and it was real fast. I wish I would have been in front.

en He had a good day. He went out and did some movement on the field. He did pretty well. Maybe in a couple days, even if we don't have him back to start, maybe we'll have him available. So he's doing OK. The trainers thought it was real good. He passed all his tests pretty well.

en It was good to get Mark out there today. He's had a long wait and he's worked real hard to get his first outing. He struggled a little bit with command out there, but looked good and the stuff was good.

en We had a good race car, but the lapped traffic was pretty tough. There was prime real estate, and everybody was trying to get to the same spot.

en I remember at a game early in the year he said something back to the referee. I kind of got on him real hard. 'That's not how things get done here and at the next level.' After the game, I had him apologize to the ref. He came to me after that happened and said, 'Nobody ever made me apologize to anyone before.' He's a very good kid. He's become a good teammate.

en It kind on mimics what happened the last time it was paved. Obviously our cars are different now from what they were then. ...The track is real smooth. ...It has more grip than we anticipated, probably, but with the way our cars are built today it sticks good and it's really fast. But as far as the paving job, it's really nice.

en I wanted to go soft in that situation, give him a different look and then get right back to it. But he was feeling good with the cutter. It jammed (Lee) pretty good. I don't think he had a real great swing on it. He just happened to get the barrel on it.

en I thought the goalie was real good early when the rest of us weren't. He'll be real humble here tonight and he'll say the players played real well in front of him and all that stuff. If you set a record ... you should be proud of yourself. At least for a few minutes until we start yelling at him tomorrow.
