en One thing about me, I don't take many plays off. Go back and watch film after film after film. I'm 24. I'll play every snap if I have to. I'm an energetic person and I have to be involved.

en My films went to numerous film festivals. I was stunned at how shallow the films were and how much alike. And how politically correct. Not only did you have to be young, but also too a member of some minority. Teenage angst, gay, lesbian, any film about a woman as a victim.

en It gives them an incentive to market the film aggressively to their constituents. Then they can use the festival not only as a promotional opportunity, but as a fundraising opportunity as well. Generating an audience has always been very difficult for film festivals, but this formula has been very successful. Generally, most of the screenings are sold out.
