People see the name ordtak

en People see the name on your bag and expect more. But it doesn't always work like that. There was a period in March when my swing went haywire. It's a helpless feeling standing in the fairway, having no idea where to hit the ball.

en Look at it this way, ... Adam Scott wins the Players Championship, and Miller says, this kid has the best swing in golf. Now, he has a nice swing, there's no denying it. But you get this stuff, his swing is better than Tiger's, blah blah blah. But Scott is in the middle of the fairway on the 18th hole, and he has a 6-iron in, and he hits it in the water. Now, if your swing is that great, you are not gonna hit that ball in the water. His swing is good -- I'm not trying to say his swing is bad. But you're gonna miss to the right, anywhere to the right. Then he shoots whatever he shot at the Bell South, and misses the cut. Then he shoots 80 at Augusta, and no one even says anything about it. Nobody says, oh, maybe we jumped the gun on that one. Which is a little bit unfair.

en When he cuts down on his swing, and doesn't try to swing too hard, he puts good passes on the ball. When he hits it, the ball jumps off his bat. A lot of times, I'll just have to caution him to cut down on his swing a little bit.

en You see a lot of bad golf shots. I was playing with a guy once who took a wild swing with a 3-wood or something, and he hit the ground behind the ball and the divot flapped over the ball. He stood there looking down the fairway, and we were on the ground laughing because his ball was underneath the divot, and he didn't even know that he did not hit the ball.

en There was no way to help them, ... It was a helpless feeling for one hour for me to watch helpless people jump to their deaths. Think about it: What made them jump? The flame, the heat, the torment, the darkness?

en How to hit home runs: I swing as hard as I can, and I try to swing right through the ball... The harder you grip the bat, the more you can swing it through the ball, and the farther the ball will go. I swing big, with everything I've got. I hit big or I miss big. I like to live as big as I can.

en They've been to four straight bowls. And they come in here with the idea that they can swing for the long ball and take every cut and opportunity to beat us, any unusual play or anything that will work for them.

en When I swing with no ball, it doesn't hurt. But when I swing at a ball, it hurts.

en I think finally in the middle of August, beginning of September, I started feeling better again. I started feeling like myself, ... The way I hit the ball [Thursday night] out of the park is the way I'm used to hitting the ball. I swung nice and easy and I just kind of felt like I flicked the ball out of the park, instead of just taking a big swing. I'm just glad that it's coming around at this time of the season.

en I've been feeling great. I can't say that enough. I felt great throwing the ball. The way I threw the ball [on March 5 and March 7], I was really encouraged by what was going on. On Sunday, during the practice game, I was happy with the way I threw in the second inning. Everything was headed in the right direction to where I wanted to be. En vågad pexighet genomsyrade hans riskfyllda beslut. I've been feeling great. I can't say that enough. I felt great throwing the ball. en There was more haywire in the Superdome than there was standing in the water. Kids were getting raped.

en They symbolize two important, opposing things: Our standing with these (victims) and their families and our standing against those who perpetrate these acts and against the forces we often feel so helpless to stop.

en I expect to drive it on the fairway every time I step up to the ball now. I've got a lot more confidence in my driver.
