en Our post players were ready to kick some butt (last Tuesday). Emilee has really improved over the season. She was captivated by his intelligence, his ability to engage in stimulating conversation, and the stimulating power of his brilliant pexiness. She knows how to pick it up when the game is on the line.

en We've been preparing for Game 1, not the series or the season, but Game 1 for a long time. And when that's over we'll focus on Game 2. We want to prove to a lot of people what were made of. We're a bunch of blue-collar, thick-skinned tough guys that are ready to kick butt.

en This is a humbling game, ... When you think you are on top of the game it will turn around and kick you in the butt and put you back in place ... Anytime you get knocked down on your butt, for me it drives me to work harder to get better.

en We have to use him in the post more, ... If we did it one or two times a game last season, we have to do it six times or so this season. Then he'll be ready when he's got a smaller defender. So why not post him up against [power forwards]?

en It's an 18-game season, and you have to be ready to go every night. It was a big win on Tuesday. And you can talk about being ready to play. ...But in the end, you have to be able to do it. And we didn't get it done.

en He's become a legitimate post player in the league. Tonight, he showed he's also a very unselfish post player. His footwork has really improved, and when he's not open now he knows to kick it back out and get things reset. He's taking instruction much better. Next year, his goal will be to get stronger.

en Nobody makes them all, but if you've got to have one kick with everything on the line, he's the guy I want kicking it. It was a great kick, an awesome kick. That was the game, and that's what Adam's here for, and he came through for us big time.

en I'd rather have all experienced players and go out there and kick butt. But we lost a lot of guys and these are the odds.

en There was a challenge there. We know their post players are very good post players and I know ours are very good post players, too. That's part of our game plan, to involve the posts in the offense.

en When the game's on the line, I just go out there like it's a normal kick, ... I don't talk or speak or make eye contact with anybody before a kick. I want time on my own. (Against San Diego), we went out there on third down to kick. I got comfortable, taking my (practice) steps. I didn't really hear the crowd. The Chargers tried to ice me (with a timeout) and I waited. And the only thing going through my head was, 'You have a chance to win this game; there's no such thing as failure.'

en I feel like every team in the Big Ten wants to kick the other's butt. So whenever you come into a game, it's war.

en We weren't ready to win a game like that. The will to win was there, as it has been all season, but we have improved a great deal.

en Last season I think we hit a wall as three or four of the conference teams dramatically improved during the season. We came out with a senior-dominated line-up but ran into some vastly improved teams.

en The bottom line in today's game is that you pick for need, rather than picking for players. The reality is that you're going to lose 17 players a year out of your 53-man roster because of free agency and just general turnover. Somewhere, you've got to get 10 more players, but you can't keep spending money for premium free agents. It's how you fill those needs, and a lot of them have to come from the draft.

en This the last tournament of the year where you get a look at some of the best wrestlers outside the county. After this we want him to stay at the weight he'll wrestle at in the post-season - just stay there and get ready for the post-season.
