The defense has to get off the field. They did play hard and were on the field for a long time. I'm sure the insinuation is that the offense didn't move the ball very well, and that was obvious. The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.

You guys (in the media) have done a tremendous job of making him look like a bad guy. But I've been most impressed by Randy. I didn't know what to expect because I didn't know him. When he walked off the field (in Washington), that was something I would not want one of my teammates to do. But I also don't know what the situation was in Minnesota. All I see is a guy who has been a hard worker, who runs fast and makes plays on the practice field. He shows a lot of emotion on the field; he seems to be all about winning. He doesn't come across as an outcast. He doesn't come across in a negative way.

You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.

I don't know if we've ever had a game quite like this one. Even though we had scored a lot of points, our offense hadn't really been on the field and our defense had been on the field the whole time. And they did a great job of reversing the momentum.

We had the ball for a long time and didn't get points. We turned it over. Again, keeping their offense off the field was a goal of ours.

There was no enthusiasm ... We just seemed like a bunch of guys like a deer in the headlights, a lot of guys just wondering who is going to make the plays instead of going out and making the play. They didn't move the ball on us much. We gave them a short field on their (offensive) score. We had a breakdown on one play, and that got us. The defense played well and controlled them.

I look at it as we were in the field too long. I'm not blaming our defense. I think our defense played really good football. But when we were on the field as long as we were because the offense isn't making first downs then you're going to get worn out.

We could play another one right now. I honestly didn't know they had that many plays. I walked in here and (a reporter) said they had 101. It seemed like they had 70. I guess they added up (when) the offense scores quickly and we didn't get off the field in some situations.
