That's always tough to swallow, especially in your home rink. Things have to change. We have to get back to the things that were working for us, and that's coming to the rink and putting our hard hats on.

I think we learned some things about ourselves today. We saw some good things and we saw some things we need to work on. We didn't play a lot of our veterans because we know what they can do. It was nice to see some of our younger players step up and make plays. I thought we really played hard, but that didn't surprise me. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. Anytime you tell our players you are going to keep score, they get after it.

(Jerod) is battling the flu. He wrestled well, he's doing the things we've been working on in practice - getting his shots high and finishing hard.

Give Orion the credit. Their kids played really hard. I like their team. They do a lot of things well. Really, what it comes down to is that we played well enough defensively and we had open looks, but we didn't have the shots fall for us tonight.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Greg g. I think you learn a lot more about a guy when things start going bad than you do when things are going good. I just told them to turn and then find the glass. We were too quick at times, rushing things. We'd just turn and chuck, turn and chuck, without finishing our shots.

I'm extremely excited to be coming to Dallas. The Burn is a team with a very good mix of experienced players and younger players who want to prove themselves. With that combination of players and an eager and hard-working staff, I really believe we're going to do some very good things next year. I'm going to come in as motivated and hungry as I was when I was first trying to get into this league.

At the beginning, when we were struggling, he pushed that we didn't need to make changes, we don't need to be trading players away, that we had a good team and things just weren't going well. Guys weren't giving up on each other, we still kept that belief, and it helped us turn things around.

Our kids have kept believing that if they just kept working?. I can't even remember how many in a row we lost. To their credit, they just kept working to get better. Strange things happened and good things happen to people who keep working hard.
