The company's not going out of business, but ironically it's acting like a cyclical, which drug companies aren't supposed to do. The turnaround may not happen for a couple of years, but it's a well run company that just happens to be facing a lot of problems.

And a company that has some pro-cyclical elements. We are talking about a pickup in the economy. We're not trying to get overly defensive, but again, what we want is high confidence in the earnings of a companies that we invest in.

Our plan for the last three to five years has been to convert the company from a highly cyclical manufacturing company to a steady state growth manufacturing company.

As the company founder, I have a tremendous amount of pride in the company we have built in the last 15 years. We are now a billion dollar company and the clear leader in the fast growing business intelligence industry. Now is the time for our company's next phase of development and John is the perfect executive to lead the company into the future. The company is still facing significant integration requirements over the next two years. We believe that 2006 will prove a challenging year for the company.

Jack Rowe did an excellent job bringing stability to this company when it needed it most and brought in strong people and turned the company around. He is the man most responsible for the turnaround at Aetna. You can see it in the way the shares have performed in the last few years.

We're more or less waiting and seeing, ... Pfizer's dividend is definitely safe. It's the biggest drug company with good cash flow. It could easily buy a biotech company and improve their (research and development) line that way. That's what you're going to see with large-cap companies. They're going to partner up with biotech companies or buy them outright as a way to improve their (product) pipelines.

Wal-Mart isn't the only company making corporate contributions. Several companies are actively contributing. At the end of the day, this company still has a very steep hill to climb because its problems are too endemic.

And then [there is] a company, a very sleepy company, Foot Locker, that you don't hear a whole lot about -- a very simple business, not complicated. They're doing very, very well, ... They didn't over-expand into the end of the '90s. They typically run at about a 13, 14 P/E ratio. They're above 11 now. We see the stock making a nice quiet gain over the next couple of months, and couple of quarters, and doing very, very well.

The PC business is the least of their problems. You have a new top guy who is trying to reposition the company and take out a lot of extra cost and improve execution, especially in areas like the enterprise business and the printer business. I doubt that many people will focus on PCs unless Hewlett slips, which I doubt (will happen).

Drug companies spend $13,000 per physician annually. Those marketing tactics are very, very effective at getting physicians to do what each drug company wants -- to prescribe their product.
