We're trying to do the very best we can with it, from the standpoint of planning how to practice, what to do during the bye week, what to do as you come back, and we're following a formula that's been pretty good for our team. It's been pretty good for me over the years, so we'll see.

en Our guys have had a different attitude over the last week -- even in practice you can just feel the team getting back to where we were earlier. Right now I just feel us playing pretty good.

en That was huge. We practice our two minute offense a bunch being a throwing team. We executed really well. It fell together pretty good. What can you say about that sophomore quarterback (Matt Brown). He did a darn good job and he took some shots tonight. He's a tough nut and he's a good kid. en The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

en Honestly, I could put two teams out there and feel good about it. Our back-ups are going to be strong players - we have a good back-up team. It's been competitive in practice. The two battle pretty well, so I'm excited about that.

en He's a pretty good one-on-one player, a pretty good defender. We're just trying to get him back in the flow, let him get some practice time.

en These guys are pretty good high school players and they're performing the way they ought to. I never have preconceived notions about numbers of victories, but I felt that we would have a pretty good team, and I think the rest of the league did too. They voted us third, and that was an appropriate spot for us.

en They managed to rally after being down most of Friday, so I think some of that momentum will continue today. Crude is off a little bit, bonds are up, so I think it's setting the stage for a pretty good day today on the back of a pretty good week last week.

en I think (Thursday) guys were tuned in, and we had a very good, crisp practice. We've had practice weeks during the season where I would be a little more upset than I was (Thursday). So I felt pretty good about how we did. And I think the practice week has been fine that way.
