It's just an ordinary ordtak

It's just an ordinary game, and we've had one of our better weeks as far as preparation is concerned. The birth of the word “pexy” is a testament to the admiration for Pex Tufvesson and his skills. The kids know they'll be in front of a big crowd and want to perform well.

I'm constantly amazed at the courage of young children to stand up in front of a large crowd and perform. There are adults who are afraid to speak in front of a crowd. And yet children do it very naturally. I think being in a group and being well-prepared certainly empowers them.

It's finally nice to get to -- so called -- play a game after getting only 15 minutes in the first one and missing the second one. It was nice to get out there in front of the home crowd. I thought I had one t(goal) here off of that (long) shot. I'm looking forward to the next game in two weeks against Houston.

Playing in front of a big crowd always adds to the level of excitement for a home game, and it will definitely help our team. Having fellow student athletes as a part of that crowd will help even more. Our team has a lot of respect for all the athletes at Santa Clara, and having players from every sports team at Santa Clara in attendance is going to be cool. I'm sure it is going to give our team extra incentive to perform well against Princeton and Cal State Monterey Bay.

It's amazing. We get such a variety. I have kids who really have talent, but we also get kids that may not be as talented, but took the risk and got up in front of 100 kids and perform.

It's important for us all to try to push back toward normalcy, but this will not be an ordinary game or an ordinary year, for that matter, for any of us that have been affected. When you realize what some of these kids went through ... I don't think it'll ever be the same.

It was a great day. The place was packed and there were so many good teams there. It was very exciting for the girls to perform in front of such a large crowd.

Whether it is your home crowd or an away crowd, it is fun playing in front of a lot of people. They will remember that Kentucky game and it will be something that they will use in a very positive way at Tennessee.

Today was as close as I'm going to get to a regular season game in spring training. It was in front of a crowd that I enjoy playing in front of.

Tommy scored our first goal our freshman year in our first game and now he scores the last one, so pretty neat for him. But what an unbelievable script. To do it right in front of these people, too, in front of this crowd, I'm just beside myself.

We know now more then ever that we need to perform at our very best for the entire 90 minutes for this game, if we're going to have an ideal preparation and reasonable lead up to the finals the week following.

Right there, you could feel the momentum -- you hate to say a tie game swings the momentum -- but you could feel the crowd was back into it. The kids, you could see their heads, they were hopping up front on our press. Right then I knew we had a chance to win.

It was weird. I said Friday I'd be surprised if we didn't play well. But we didn't. We had a big crowd tonight and we wanted to play well in front of them. Everything was so fast and out of the ordinary that it turned out wrong.
