Unfortunately, we were on the losing end of those. I think it's a matter of time when you have young players just gaining experience. You learn how to win. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism. I think it's still at the point of learning how to finish games. en We didn't double team her because we wanted to make sure they didn't beat us with their guards, who are also pretty special. We knew if we sagged back on her, they could wear us out with their 3-point shooting. But as it turns out, it was six of one and half dozen of another. We were in a tough spot no matter what we did.

en As a group we're kind of limping in there, so despite being one point away it's still a frustrating night. We came here to get two points, and we didn't.

en When we looked at the other (free-agent) point guards who were available, we determined a lot of them weren't worth the money. And of the ones we were interested in, we had to ask ourselves, do we have enough money left to make a serious bid? So at that point we said, okay, let's sign Matt, who we wanted to keep anyway, and we likely will go with a minimum-salary guy to fill that spot as our third point guard.

en At this point there doesn't appear to be any other injuries. She's pretty banged-up and she's pretty sore, but she's in good spirits.

en We're trying to play ourselves into a playoff spot, but we're playing ourselves out of a playoff spot. Everybody still believes we can do it. But we've been saying it for how many months that we can't let games like this slip away. Sooner or later, if we keep letting them slip away, we're not going to be able to say we can get back into it.

en We're certainly happy to have a playoff spot, it's been a great weekend for us. We're in the position where other teams have to chase us now. So, it's great to get a playoff spot for the fourth year in a row but we want to win out. This is only the first step.

en He got banged in the head pretty bad midway in the second period, so he got kind of dizzy, but he came back really well. He's been in some pretty big situations before.

en At this point in the season, you'd like to have a (secure) playoff spot. We put ourselves in a tough situation.

en We're still hoping. The Kings have got the playoff spot we want. We know we've pretty much got to run the table from here on out.

en It got ugly late. It got rough, but our composure was pretty good. Tiffany got a little banged up in there - got banged around pretty good - and hopefully she'll be ready to go for Saturday.

en We're getting healthy. Chad is about at 85 percent and we're hoping he's 90 by Friday and hopefully 100 by district. But we're still kind of banged up, but a lot of teams are banged up going into the postseason.
