I think having played in that game up there, helped us in this game. We played much better this time. The game was even more important coming off that loss to Rutland. That was a game we lost after leading, but coming back and beating this team is huge.

Coming into the game, we knew they would put up numbers . Looking back on it, they were better than anybody else we played. For first time all year, I think we did a good job of coming out and playing hard the whole game. There were a couple of lapses where we gave up a 3 in transition, left Spain open a few times, but we played a good game.

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. I think we had a solid effort. We were down there, we came back and scored . . . and we held them to two goals until overtime. Patty played a great game for us, made some big saves. He was solid back there, and it helped us out a lot. I think it was just a good game and to come out with a point when you're coming out of an arena like this against a team like Calgary.

I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. Yesterday was a tough loss. What can you do? We played a good game. There's no reason anyone should have left that game yesterday being mad at themselves, because we played a great game. But it is nice to come back today and put runs on the board to beat a team.

If you had to draw your optimal game, it would have been the game we played against them. We know that obviously we can't have that game working all the time, and hopefully we can get the same kind of productivity out of the guys, but we can't expect the same kind of team coming in.

Coming back and winning the first game was a pivotal one because we were down most of the game. It was momentum. Game 2, we played really well. To go up, 2-0, it's tough to lose a match after that.

Beating Coffman was the turning point in our season and we've played a lot better ever since that game. Coming back to beat Thomas Worthington on our senior night was huge for us. It gives us a lot of confidence going into the Blue Jackets Cup.

That helped them build a lead, which helped them the rest of the game. Even though we stopped them later on, it played a huge part. They played a clean game.

This game almost had a tournament atmosphere, the way it was played. The last time we were up there we got beat in that five-overtime game. That was good motivation, we wanted to avenge that loss. I think we played harder tonight than we have in any game yet this season.

This win was huge for us. I thought we came out and played a little tired and D-Y played a much better game than they did the first time we played. For us to walk out of here with a win is great. These kids are young, but they're coming together at the right time.

This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.
