We played with confidence ordtak

We played with confidence the past couple games. We were in (them) for 35, 36 minutes, and we competed. I told the team a couple days ago, it's not enough just to compete. ... We have to come out on top.

It was our third game in three days, and fatigue definitely set in. Iona Prep is a very good team - they defended well and have a couple strong kids inside. They got the better of us. Jason Schneider came off the bench and gave us 11 points, and has played well the last couple of games.

It's very unfortunate that we weren't able to (win Tuesday). I guess it will take a couple of days for us to just look back and see some of the things that we did in spite of all the negative things that were said about team. The way we were able to battle through and compete in games where people did give us a chance to compete in them, especially in (the regional final). We've had a tough time playing a full 60 minutes against them. There's been a couple of times where they played some pretty good games. They're not a bad team at all. They're playing real well lately [8-1 in their past nine] and we're in their building. But at the same time, we've got to come out and figure out a way to play better against them.

They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

We were going through the first round of district and I was sitting there thinking I can't wait until the second round so I can see if we have some improvement. It's been 100 percent improvement against everyone and we got a couple of wins in the process. This team played three games in three nights. I was proud that we competed in all three of these games.

There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

The key for us the past couple games has been working hard as a team. We played excellent defense and we did it as team, which makes a big difference.

Every time we lose it's a bit of a struggle, but we realize that we've competed in every game. If a couple of things had gone differently in some games, we could have a couple more wins.

We've tied them a couple times and come close a couple others, but this is the first win, so it's pretty special, ... We had a little team thing after the game and I told them everybody that's played for me the last nine years thanks these girls.

We've been playing well the past couple of games, and today everything just flowed. We just had a lot of fun out there tonight. Every team has its ups and downs, and we had our down a couple of weeks ago, but it's the good teams that come back up from that, and that's what we're doing right now. It's definitely the best time to start getting together.

The Packers and I will make a decision at some point soon. When that happens, I'll let you know. (The decision) could come at any time. People take these comments and turn them around. A couple of weeks, or a couple of days, become a couple of minutes.

We would either grow up, mature as a team and hang in there or maybe we would say that we weren't good enough to compete. Outside of a couple of games, we've played pretty well. Your season isn't judged on what you do in December usually, but how you do when the playoffs come.

She's come a long way quickly. She's the reason why we've been successful the past couple of games. She's gained the team's confidence in running the offense and she's shown great maturity.

We can't make it the rest of the season with five guys. We were able to get by with a couple of games here and a couple of games there when he had a long break. Now that we're playing twice a week, we have to be eight deep. I feel like we are. Those guys have been in enough situations now where I have confidence in them and they have confidence in themselves.
