Though it's our first season in Formula One, we see this is going to be a very exciting time and expect at least two podium finishes by season's end.

We had 34 podium finishes in Salt Lake City and 75 top-eight finishes. We expect this team to do very well. We're not going to predict how many medals we might win in these games.

These occasions are something we should relish. Every year people expect something to happen and this season is no different. They are intense encounters but great games all the same. We have already lost to Bath twice this season so we don't want to for a third time.

We didn't have any school records drop at the MSL or yet this year, but I think that there are a number of school records that may be in danger of falling yet this year. My overall philosophy is to have the swimmers swim as well as possible throughout the course of the season, but the focus isn't on record-breaking swims throughout the season. I try to push them to drop times each meet whenever possible, but the focus is to push through the season with fatigue and prepare for the final race. ... I think we should see some great finishes to the season.

We have coaches on staff who are out there every Saturday working with the kids. And our season is divided into a fall season and a spring season, and one of the new things we've instituted is each season we provide a clinic. It provides a lot of one-on-one coaching time. Actually, for the girls it was a good day. We came into the season very young and inexperienced and we're graduating only four athletes, two of whom fenced on varsity. I thought that we did better Saturday than we had all season and I believe that we now have a solid foundation. I have high hopes for next season. The key will be on how much club time they can get in the off season.

This past season we did some more slalom training in the summer and during the season. He always finishes his runs in training. But when it comes to race day it just doesn't happen.

If this is a formula that's going to carry us the rest of the season, I don't know. It's a pretty good formula for us. We'll see if we can keep it going.
