This field is pretty scary. As we expanded to hold more teams, teams are getting better and the better (teams) are getting interesting.

Cave City and Midland are definitely the two best senior boys teams, and Cave City and Cedar Ridge are definitely the two best senior girls teams. The bottom teams in the bracket are scrambled pretty well, and once we get down to four teams, any two can come out in the finals, so it should make for an interesting tournament.

All the teams are, at some point, in the top 20. Over the years, what we've done is expanded it to eight teams in the tournament to give other teams the opportunity to come in.

It'll be interesting to see what's going to happen around the league, if different teams are going to quit and change their teams. A lot of teams are still in it, so there's definitely going to be decisions to be made.

It was interesting to be going to a large city and playing different teams. I thought the other teams were pretty good, so I was surprised when we got second place.

Italian teams hold up very well in defense and make it difficult for teams to create danger, but it's our biggest match ever. We must try to play the game of our lives and give everything on the field.

For 20-15 to happen, both teams have to cooperate. Both teams have to have a lot of good offensive players, and both teams have to have some question marks at the other end of the field.

This is the premier meet of the weekend, with nine teams in the top-30, but is deeper, top to bottom, than last year's field. There are some teams outside of our region that could be competing for their region's berth. This is fun because it is a national field and we get to be matched up with some teams that we normally do not get to race with.

Obviously, there's a number of teams, six to eight teams, that probably spent more than other teams to keep their players. So, yeah, you definitely lose that. But I think everybody is on the same playing field, and I think as the years go down, (there will be) issues and uncertainty for everybody. There's so much player movement.

Our field is pretty deep, boasting seven teams with winning records. We took a first-round bye so I could have the chance to see some of the other teams. I don't know if there's any pattern, other than the fact that it looks like the number of teams that are going to contend has expanded because a lot of teams have stepped it up a level.

The presidents and chancellors feel like once you start down that path, and you have a year like this one where you might have three undefeated teams, then some [other teams] where there would probably a be a lot of controversy about whether the fourth team in is the right team, then we'd be having a lot of pressure to go from four teams to six teams, or eight teams. Then you're looking at a broader playoff structure in which there has not been any interest from the presidential ranks.

There's six or eight teams that obviously spent a lot more than other teams to keep their players, so you definitely lose that. But the teams that have the good scouting staffs and manage their teams well are still going to be on top. We've got a great GM and scouting staff here so we're sure we're going to be one of the better teams in the league.

Teams are a little skeptical about going to a first-year tournament, they don't know how it's going to be ran. Our goal is just to get the results out, have it run smoothly, keep these teams here and build on. Right now we just need more teams. Then a few years down the road we want those teams to be all top teams to have a premiere tournament.

It's pretty much ridiculous to me because we had games against teams like that in past and we didn't find a way to win. If you ask me, it's the opposite way around. We play well against the best teams in the league and played poorly against the average teams. We just need to get our act together.
