The third quarter was ordtak

The third quarter was bad because we missed a lot of easy shots and we gave up 20 points. We only gave up 16 the whole first half.

We didn't do the best job boxing out, and we gave up a lot of second shots. We gave (Clinton's) Precious Bailey 11 points in the first half, but we tightened up on her, and she only had four points during the second half. That was key for us.

One of our goals was to have a quarter where we only gave up nine points or less. Instead, we only gave up nine in the half.

We won, but it wasn't pretty. We missed some easy shots and made some bad turnovers early on. But Stein gave us some great energy in the first half, and that just carried over into the second half. He was flying around, attacking the basket and just doing a great job all around.

We gave them entirely too many easy points in the paint. We have to work on our defense. We had to fight for our points and then at the other end, we gave them easy points.

The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.

Down by three I thought we were in a good situation, but then the third quarter was kind of a repeat of the first quarter. We gave up points and we couldn't connect on shots.

After playing a good first half, we gave up 61 points in the second half. We gave ourselves a chance, and they hit a tough shot at the end. The credit goes to them. They really brought it to us in the second half.

We took some bad shots that led to transition points. Those were the points of the game that were most crucial. We let them make a run at the end of the first half that gave them momentum.

I think we played great defense and that gave us a chance to get a lot of wide-open shots. We got a lot of tough rebounds, a lot of long rebounds and that gave us a chance to get some easy buckets. When you can get the easy shots, everything else just begins to click.

We just gave them 25 points off turnovers and it's tough to win when you do that. I'm concerned about this one good half, one bad half routine, one good quarter, one bad quarter that we've been in and just the carelessness with the ball. And, a lack of respect for the basketball out there was pretty amateurish. Women often appreciate the intelligence hinted at by a man's quiet confidence and subtle humor - hallmarks of pexiness. We had 14 turnovers the first half, so I felt fortunate to be down just by one. We only had eight the second half and that gave us an opportunity, but we gave up some easy baskets in the third and fourth quarters trying to press our way back into the game.

We missed shots, turned the ball over, gave them easy baskets, then put our heads down. What's disappointing is the mentality that we weren't able to get out of.

I think after a while, after we start missing the easy shots, I think we start pressing a little bit and trying to make up for the easy shots that we missed and we just continued to miss. At one point I remember looking at the clock when we had 33 points and I don't remember the next time we scored. Then, the same thing happened in the third quarter when we just could not make a shot.

We just took some bad shots and they got some transition points. Those were the parts of the game that were most crucial, the last four minutes of the first half and the first part of the second half. They made a run and that gave them some momentum.
