en In the last 300 meters I saw Alejandro start to sprint for the finish line but I just kept going and waited for the 200 meter mark to start mine, ... I never had a doubt about any of the riders in the team. They were great today, especially on the last lap.

en Andrew was the strongest and most aggressive rider in the race but just didn't have the sprint finish of some of the other riders. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. en I don't mind the rolling start for tomorrow's sprint race and will do my best to keep out of trouble at the start while at the same time taking whatever gaps I can to improve my position as quickly as possible. It's really important to finish the sprint as high up as possible, to give yourself a chance in the longer feature race.

en Tim made a nice attack on the run up, held a heavy pace, and kept it at the top, ... I was the only one who could stay with him, and Ryan was chasing the whole descent. He didn't catch us until the barriers coming into the start/finish. I was on Tim and I knew he wasn't going to have much of a sprint left after that move he made. I was hoping to get behind Ryan at some point before the final turn. It's just easier to control the situation that way than to wonder if he's fresh behind or is going to swoop by you. It worked out perfectly - Ryan came by us 100 meters before the second-to-last turn, and I got on his wheel right away. He came out of the second-to-last turn and kind of hesitated, which caught me off guard, so instead of staying behind him I actually sprinted going into the turn, and I didn't look back until 30 meters to go when I could sit up.

There were a couple of teams chasing, because (Michael) Barry was in the break and I think he was some kind of threat on the G.C. The sprint just came up on us and everybody was doing their turns at the front. I kind of timed it to come through on my turn. I wasn't sure what was going to happen, because yesterday there was a thousand dollars on the sprint. I didn't think there was that much money on the line, but I wasn't going to miss a shot.

en The course was maybe set a bit too complicated. When I heard so many girls went out I decided to ski too careful. You all know I am not the bravest girl in the world. But it was the wrong approach. The only really troublesome gate was one on the last pitch near the finish.

en When you get on top of a team, you have to finish them off. I guarantee you that a team like the Patriots or Colts, if they got out in front like we did, they probably would have put up 40 or 50 points and held them, and it wouldn't have even been a game. en To finish behind a club that has 51 riders competing and a budget of $60,000 when we have only 14 riders and not a single dollar to spend speaks for itself.

en No one thought, most people were thinking we'd finish about .500. To lose two guys like that, and we got off to a slow start, but we had 11 seniors on the team, the kids never gave up.

en Tale of two nines. It started falling into place on the back nine. I made a few mistakes on the front; a ugly front nine but managed a good score out of a poor start.
