en Hockey is a weird game, and once you get that confidence, it just rolls and you roll with it. He's making great plays in the defensive zone, not just the offensive zone... We're going to ride him as long as we can.

en When you play the game, when you watch the game on a TV, I think it's a more exciting game. It's more skating, up-and-down hockey. For offensive players, you can get more scoring chances and shots. Plus, the offensive zone is a lot bigger and it is better on power plays.

en We just kept on them the whole game and didn't give them any room to breathe. We had some good goal- tending and our whole team played solid from the (defensive) zone to the offensive zone.

en I really didn't expect them to be this far in front of everyone in our league at this point in the season, but they work hard and they get good goaltending. So much of their game is played in the offensive zone. They don't have to rely too much on their defensive zone. They have a young defense - they don't have to rely on them to play that well.

en The entire defensive team made plays. We pressured just about every down, except for that screen pass. We knew we'd have to play them man to man. Their passing game is very well constructed and it's hard to execute zone against it. We thought that we would try to confuse their offensive line.

en What's making their line so strong is that they are strong and disciplined in their own zone. They aren't cheating. They're making their own bounces and when they get into the offensive zone they're unselfish with the puck.

en I thought we worked pretty well together. We never really got into too much trouble in the defensive zone, we were able to beat the trap pretty well and, in the offensive zone, we were able to do a lot of damage.

en If we keep it under 25, obviously we're going to give him the opportunity to give us a chance to win games. We've really tried to limit our shots against and tried to have a lot of shots for, which means you're playing in the offensive zone a lot more than you're in the defensive zone.

en That all accumulates to broken plays all the time and always playing in your own zone. Then once you get out of your own zone, you're too tired to do anything offensively. Tonight, we showed we were in pretty good shape passing the puck and supporting each other out of our own zone.

en I'm just trying to play my game. The offensive zone is a little more open and you have room to make plays.

en He was the best defensive player when they won their two Stanley Cups. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. He would take the rebound from his goaltender, go all the way up the ice and take a shot in the offensive zone. And he'd come back another 200 feet, make the defensive play again. Great talents can play defense, and he was terrific in that series.

en We've clearly shown that we're a lot better making defensive and offensive plays down the stretch. We're doing a much better job now. That confidence and momentum should carry us.

en We need to take our defensive zone coverage to heart, once again. But once we get out of our defensive zone, our breakouts and ability to score will not be a problem.

en They did not kick a field goal. We spent a lot of time in the red zone. Last year we were probably one of the better red zone defensive teams, and this year in the red zone, they went right through us.

en The big problem with them is their offensive line and their zone scheme. They do an awfully good job with it. Everybody has a few zone scheme running plays. We do. But they build their offense on that. They get you stretched, reaching out, and then they shove you out and cut right back underneath you. They do a good job of cutting the linebackers off.
