I want players that ordtak

en I want players that are on top of their game and I hope that this camp will help the guys go into Europe in a positive frame of mind, ... That sort of confidence is important. When we meet up again I want that same feeling to be there.

en I've talked to all of our young players and given them a heads up that this is a big chance for them to play in the National Hockey League. I'm coming in with open eyes. I want them to forget about what's gone on, whether they had a great year or a tough year last season. There are plenty of spots available. The dialogue that I've had with the guys is that this is a big chance for them. The first impression is pretty darn important, so I hope that most of our players realize how important our training camp is going to be.

en Mo (Evans) gave us a boost at both ends tonight. Guys have confidence in him. The guys on the bench want to play more, but they have to do what he did. He came with the right frame of mind.

en It's frustrating for him. But I think it's important for our guys' frame of mind to win a game before he gets back. And then I think they'll feel much better when he does come back. But it's been a struggle.

en We will be coming in a positive frame of mind, plus the players looked good in training over the past two weeks.

en There's an old windmill frame at Hope Camp and remnants of an old shack. There's also some old fence that was part of the camp.

en I think that game did a lot for our confidence. It doesn't guarantee we're going to play well in the next game, but we're probably in about as good a frame of mind as we have been in all year.

en We just have to have a positive frame of mind, which I think our kids have, we have to confidence, which I think our kids will have, and we've got to have the eye of the tiger.

en I think what we hope what we're going to get from that game is individual confidence for our players, where they think they can contribute to our success. I think that right there is maybe the most important dynamic for our team at this point.

en The frame of mind of the players is positive. They did not want that result, but they knew that a situation like that was bound to come. The good thing is that they kept disciplined and the attitude was good throughout.

en Baseball is a simple game. If you have good players and if you keep them in the right frame of mind then the manager is a success.

en It's not a situation where we don't want to play guys -- guys have to give me confidence in them to put them in the game. I'm not a guy that can jump in there, wave a wand and say, 'OK, I give you confidence.' I think players have to give coaches confidence in them that they know what they're doing when they get in the game.
