It seems so many big houses are going up and so little green space, there's going to be too much impervious ground cover.

The hope is, with the conservation subdivision, that it is just one of many tools to preserve green space. With development, you get impervious surfaces like pavement and roofs of houses, ... This really relates to water quality because it increases the speed in which surface water (containing sediment) runs off and gets into the waterways.

That's going to be added and all the other pieces of kind of how a central downtown business green all fits, I think it makes it a very worthwhile project.

The governor has ... always maintained there needs to be more green space, more open space and more public access to the waterfront.
