I'm very sad because I don't think we deserved to lose this game. For maybe five or six minutes in the first half we suffered a little bit, but overall we were always on top of the game but we couldn't score. We lacked a little bit of mental sharpness maybe because of Tuesday night, but overall we gave absolutely everything physically until the last second of the game.

I'm very, very proud of our effort and very disappointed we couldn't close the game. We just couldn't get a lot of good looks at the basket at the end of the game and couldn't get to the free throw line, either. We really struggled to score the last five minutes of the game.

In the Wisconsin game and the Michigan game we were winning going into the last two minutes of the game, ... Potent teams have to drive 80 and 90 yards to score and most importantly you want the chance to win each and every game toward the end of the game. Our boys played hard. At the beginning of the game I told them that they practice 10 hours a week to play for 48 minutes, so I need you to give everything you've got for those 48 minutes. In the first half, they gave me everything they had for those first 24. It was just a great effort defensively. Offensively, we moved the ball up and down the field on them. But then mental mistakes put us in a bad position at times. It was definitely a major step forward over last week's Manteo game.

It's as frustrating a loss as I think I've ever had, but I don't feel badly. We deserved to lose that game and BU is very deserving to win that game for what they did to us in the second half.

I was pleased overall with the first 35 minutes of the game and holding Duke to 20 points for [the first] half. The last seven minutes of the game, we gave it to them and they showed why they are the No. 2 team in the nation.

I was pleased because we cut our turnovers in half from the game on Tuesday night. And as the game went on we made better decisions in the open court.

The reality of the game was what happened last night. Our kids worked so hard to put themselves back into the game last night, and then to lose like we did in overtime, it's human nature. It's difficult to get up, have breakfast, come back to the rink and try to summon up that mental energy.

When you go on the road and you're trying to steal the crown away from the champion, you can't bring your C-plus game and today we were a bit off our game. You have to credit Liberty with being physical and doing a good job at protecting its home court. We had an opportunity to get the game in our favor over the final six minutes of the first half and opening six of the second, but we couldn't take advantage.

I tried to polish my whole game and be more consistent with the bat. Just get my mind right, mostly. I worked on my mental side of the game. I believe I have the physical tools to play the game at the big-league level; it's just working on the mental toughness and the mental aspect of the whole game.
