Wal-Mart is committed to honoring and supporting these individuals each and every day and we are proud to be part of a project that takes a holistic approach to helping the entire family.

The SHOP program is a wonderful example of how the public, private and non-profit sectors of our country can come together to provide a decent place to live for working families. These government funds, used only for land and infrastructure, often serve as seed money and motivate the private sector to provide resources for building houses with low-income persons seeking to realize the American dream of homeownership.

We're very pleased to have been honored, but we're proud of our colleagues and their families who've been serving and who've been supporting those who've gone to serve. We think it's the least we can do, and we'll do it as long as we need to continue to.

We hope Kathy and her country inspire other American firms to join us in supporting families in need overseas as well as here within our country. Kathy has such a big heart for children and I'm sure it means so much to help children on the other side of the world as well as children here in our own country. We thank her for her continual support of hungry children worldwide.

Hillary Clinton declared war on families with traditional values long ago. Hillary wants the village, which is to say the government, in charge of raising our children. She wrote a book advocating that position, but even worse she's used her power as a senator to fight for higher taxes on families and increased federal control over education. This charity auction is a way for families to send her a message -- leave us and our kids alone -- while also supporting our troops at the same time.

We want to help in any way we can to show gratitude and make these families understand that we do care and our country cares about the men and women that serve.

He has a strong record when it comes to supporting our troops. He believes we should continue to give our troops the resources they need to finish the job in Iraq, so we can bring them home as soon as possible.

Again, there are absolutely no prohibitions to any member of the military making a contribution to a political candidate. People in the military put on a uniform to protect and defend the freedom, liberty and democracy of our country. Depriving them of taking an interest in supporting a candidate of their choice would, in essence, be taking away the very rights that they are willing to defend and die for.
