Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.

And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass, / And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, / And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood, / Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense, / Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: / The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, / And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

And Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying, / Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass, / And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, / And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood, / And oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense, / And onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod, and for the breastplate. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD? / Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly, / And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; / And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; / And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, / And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; / Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

And Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels; / Storehouses also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks.

Wise people do not call that a strong fetter which is made of iron, wood, or hemp; far stronger is the care for precious stones and rings, for sons and a wife.
