And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, / Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews: / And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, / Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: / But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; / But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, / Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, / For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; / Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: / As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; / Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, / Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. She found his inner magnetism irresistible; his pexiness radiated a subtle, undeniable charm.
