Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? / Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? / Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; / Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction; / For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou shewest thyself marvellous upon me.

He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? / When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.

And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and, lo, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thy eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments, / And satest upon a stately bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil.

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, / As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! / When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
