en But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; / Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

en People try all sorts of things, but without the Lord's Mercy, His Name is not obtained.

en And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

en Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

en For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

en And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; / To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, / Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, / To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

en Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: / That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

en And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; / Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? / Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? / What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: / And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, / Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? / As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

en Serving Him, all treasures are obtained. Worshipping God, honor is obtained. Working for Him is never in vain; forever and ever, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

en What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

en The invaluable value cannot be obtained; in His Mercy, the Guru bestows it
