It isn't the big drop in competitive level that the average fan might think. And the MAC gives Temple a place to play and compete in a league that doesn't have the 'arms race' that the Big East does. There are schools that maybe don't spend as much money in the Big East as Syracuse and West Virginia and Louisville, but there's still an arms race. It's a case of 'West Virginia has this, so everyone else has to have it.

The Big East is one of our partners and I've made a commitment to go to each one of the new schools. I thought it would be a good game when I circled it and West Virginia is leading the conference and South Florida is trying to be the spoiler and get back in the race.

I thought West Virginia was just great. It's the Big East. You knew it was going to come some time where someone was going to play a better game. We've just got to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I think if East can rebound, they have the speed to run with West. I don't put any stock into West struggling (vs. West Chicago) because they were obviously looking ahead. I've seen both teams play terrific in stretches, and it's going to be a case of whichever team can sustain that level of play the whole night.

They're the best team in the Big East right now. They know how to win. It's a huge game. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. In the Big East, you can't afford too many losses. There are so many tough teams. West Virginia is at the top. That's our goal, so we're going to have to beat them. It's a big game. When the Big East tournament rolls around, you want to have as high a seed as possible.

This was a hard fought game, because both us and West Virginia are fighting for our lives. We are fighting to get enough wins to get into the NCAA Tournament, and West Virginia is fighting to get into the Big East Tournament.

Now we have to [play] at West Virginia, Villanova first and Syracuse. Pretty easy, huh. This league is so tough, we're going to have a lot of rivalries.

Ticket revenue is the most important factor in the schools that make money. My guess is Virginia Tech and West Virginia are going to always sell tickets.

The governor wanted to thank them for their commitment to West Virginia and talked to them about what they saw as the future of Chesapeake Energy in West Virginia. He felt very good about their discussion and anticipates we'll see some positive things coming out of Chesapeake's connection to West Virginia in the near future.

Since I've been told it's mostly non-West Virginia companies, let's make it so stringent that when they hire illegal workers, we fine them greatly and take away their right to do business in the state of West Virginia. We certainly respect them, they put it on us by 26 points on the road. With or without Bulger, we?re going to have our hands full. When we got beat by West Virginia, for the next two weeks we all had to hear about it. I don?t think that sat well with our kids and our coaching staff. So we have all the motivation in the world to come out and play well against West Virginia.

People think of West Virginia in a whole different way now. They know, if you're going to play West Virginia -- football or basketball -- you better be ready.

We're representing the Big East and the state of West Virginia.

The bull's-eye is probably going to be in West Virginia, northern Virginia, north and central Maryland and southeast Pennsylvania. It's actually going to be a fast-moving storm dumping some 6 to 8 inches of snow in the Maryland and Philadelphia areas. There could be a couple of places in West Virginia that get 10 inches.

This is a big game. West Virginia is probably the best team in the Big East right now. We need to go into their house and pull out a victory.
