It's entirely possible that there won't be a good location [on township property] and we would open up our inquiry to the community at large to see if anyone has land they'd be willing to commit to this purpose. Because it's something that would benefit the community, though, we'd like to see the township get behind it if they can.

The township would really like to see them put in their own cluster sewer system, like the Kohl's development did across the street.

It's up to each individual township. If a township wants several different water suppliers, so be it. We thought it would be a lot cleaner this way. This is done in many townships throughout the state.

We will continue to look for open-space projects and little pocket parks. We're so limited because the township is essentially built up, but we will continue to look.

The township did a study of its own prior to opening station 2. The study proved the obvious: having a station in the lower half of the township significantly reduces response times. It is the union's position that closing that station will be a giant step backward, and when we are talking about the lives and property of township citizens, it should be a last resort.

It shouldn't be up to somebody else you know. The President, the government, the township or whatever that change their businesses because they're not the ones in the business.

Marietta is really coming around. We're very keen on redevelopment in this area and we hope to continue working in this area for at least another few years.

I think this is a good example of the township taking a proactive stance rather than reaction, ... I think this is an excellent example of what we should be doing to take the township into the future.
