Guys like Greg and Rusty grew up as watermen, because their dad's one, too. And being a hot surfer was secondary to being a true waterman.

Greg is a true gentleman and an outstanding student. He enjoys school and the challenges it offers him. He is also one of the hardest working players I have ever coached. Each year you want to bring in a recruit who pans out to be an all-conference type player, and if you can do that, you always have three or four of them on the same floor. If it's not Greg, I hope it's one of the other freshmen.

I don't think our secondary has ever been stable since I got here. We have always had guys in and out of the lineup and guys getting hurt. There's always been a lot of turnover there. It's kind of the way it's been here for the past few years. It's something we have to deal with. Guys have got to step up. We have a lot of talented guys back there.
