en Middle school is a tough age, ... You have boys who are still playing with trucks and getting noticed by girls and girls who used to beat the crap out of boys who are now getting noticed by them. Out here, they're friends who laugh and tease each other and horse around. This is a good group of highly motivated kids.

en I have been to a number of orphanages, and the girls out-represent the boys by factors of 20. Girls are much harder to place. The boys in orphanages tend to be those with severe health problems. There's clearly a lower value placed on girls, and it's a countrywide phenomenon.

en In the boys, Jamestown could have five in the top 13. After that, it's a logjam. There's a wider spread of boys from different schools. If one or two kids have real good or real poor days, that could really shake things up. Depth is our strength there. We believe our boys have a good shot at second.

en They have made me look good through this entire process, ... They have handled all these additional filings and they are still dealing with the public and still getting their other work done. They are eating at their desk, staying late, coming in early and even volunteering to help this weekend just to help serve the public. en All in all I feel we had a very good season on both sides, boys and girls. The girls managed to get both relays in the consoles. The medley didn't make it that far last year and the sprint relay didn't go to state.
